Poetry: Child Abuse By Jachinma Ruth

Unspeakable is her act
She is named nameless
The little girl with a baby
In a day it started off

With a prick under her panties
He threatened with a knife
Poised as a guardian but not
3am was her horror moment

Creeps in like a thief
Violently he drags off her rags
Filling his urge in her
Living in fear yet brave

Sometime she did speak up
To her mistress the ugly lady
Tamed with checkers in her mouth
With leather she is lashed.

Stripped before her sons
Who took turn to go through
With an immature being she left
But to the streets she came.
