UNILAG Authorities Disowns 13 Remanded Students In Kirikiri, Claims They Are Not Students Of The University

The administration of UNILAG says the 13 students remanded in Kirikiri prison involve rusticated students and a few from an organization in Ogun state -

The authorities expresses that the rusticated students are asked for to apply for re-affirmation in the wake of
serving their discipline - Meanwhile, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has issued a 24-hour final offer to the court to discharge the understudies.

Recall, the students who were said to be from UNILAG, were captured and remanded by a unique offense versatile court pending the awareness  of their safeguard application slated for April 6.

 The students were blamed for attacking the premises of the Television Continental (TVC) in Lagos and summoned on a two-check charge of unlawful intrusion and interruption of exercises before Chief Magistrate P.E. Nwaka. Nonetheless, the establishment in an announcement marked by the agent recorder, data unit, Mr. Toyin Adebule, on Tuesday, April 4, said the remanded people were not students of the establishment.
