6 Alleged UNILAG Rapist Granted N6Millon Bail.

Six students of Unilag have showed up before a Surulere Chief Magistrates' Court on charges verging on conspiracy, rape and sexual harassment.

For the alleged rape of a 17-year-old
young lady, (UNILAG) University of Lagos students have been granted a N6 million bail on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, by a Surulere Chief Magistrates' Court in Lagos.

The 6 Unilag students with the names Simeon Omowole, 18; Randy Chukka, 17; Samuel Oyefara, 18; Peter Adeboyega, 17; Chuka Chukwu, 19; and Peace Nwakanma, 18 (a female), purportedly argued not blameworthy to a five-check charge verging on conspiracy, rape, and sexual harassment  Premium Times reports.

The court heard that the offenses were conferred at some point in January at High-court, Unilag.

The prosecutor, Anthonia Osayande, claimed that the blamed alongside another assistant who is still everywhere schemed and assaulted a 17-year-old kindred understudy whose name has been withheld.

Ms. Osayande revealed that Ms. Nwakanma who is the main female among the denounced people was in charge of attracting the casualty to where she was assaulted.

"The six accused students sexually harassed and assaulted the young lady with video cuts keeping in mind the end goal to scare her.

"They all had sex with the 17-year-old without her assent,'' she said.

As indicated by the prosecutor, the offenses repudiated Sections 137, 140, 260 (2), 264 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015 (amended).

‎The denounced were granted bail in the aggregate of N500, 000 each with two sureties in like whole by the Chief Magistrate, A. Ipaye-Nwachukwu.

‎The case was to May 18 pending exhortation from the State Director of Public Prosecutions.
